TwitterLit and KidderLit are literary sites I created which serve up the first lines of books. You can subscribe to receive the daily posts by RSS or email, on Twitter or by Google gadget. (Please visit the sites for all the possibilities.) And now it's possible to view them via a bookmarklet.
I'm thrilled to announce that TwitterLit and KidderLit now have bookmarklets! And as partial as I am to Twitter, bookmarklets may be the handiest way yet to get first lines delivered, right in your browser window.
A bookmarklet is a browser bookmark that's written with javascript. When you click on the link, it performs whatever function it was scripted to perform. In this case, The TwitterLit and KidderLit bookmarklets each open up a popup window that shows the two most recent entries.
To install a bookmarklet, just click the link below and drag it up to your browser's bookmark toolbar:
That's it! Then, whenever you'd like a quick literary diversion, click the bookmarklet and see what first lines are waiting for you.
Here's a preview of what the KidderLit popup window looks like:

Pretty cool! Thanks.

Thanks!
Hey, your reference to BAFAB made it into Estella's Revenge: http://estellabooks.blogspot.com/2007/11/read-thon-challenge-interview.html
Haven't read the interview yet, but I will: I'm just in from trick-or-treating.
